People visit your website. Why aren’t they getting in touch?
A visitor arrives with a question: can this business help me? A useful website makes the answer easy to find.
Start with the first screen
Open your main service page on a phone. Can you quickly tell what the business does, where it works and how to get in touch? Ask someone unfamiliar with the business to try the same task.
Look for unanswered questions
People may need to know what a service includes, whether you cover their area, how a quote works or what happens after an enquiry. Put useful answers close to the point where someone makes a decision.
Show work that helps someone choose
A project photograph becomes more useful with a short explanation of the brief and the work delivered. Use real examples and approved feedback. Avoid claims you cannot support.
Test the whole enquiry journey
Tap the phone link. Submit the form. Confirm the message reaches the right inbox and that someone follows it up. A working button is only one part of a working enquiry process.
Change one thing for a reason
Use the questions you uncover to choose the next improvement. Keep a note of the change and review the evidence over time.
